How do I enable my pages to show video ads?

If you'd like to display video ads, please make sure that you're using one of the supported video ad formats on your site and that you are opted in to image ads for that specific ad unit.

Note that as there is currently limited video ad inventory, you may not notice any ads on your site for some time. As our inventory grows, you may begin to see video ads appear on your pages. In the meantime, we recommend opting in to both text and image ads for your ads units to ensure you're getting the ads that represent the maximum revenue potential for you.

After my last post I had some readers wanting to know how they can do this as well.

then simply go to adsense my account and edit ads preferences to include image ads.

How will I earn from video ads?

Your earnings from video ads will depend on the pricing of the specific video ads you display. Video ads can be either cost-per-click or cost-per-thousand-impressions. When paid on a CPC basis, you'll receive earnings for each valid click through on ad -- that is, a click on the display url or playing video that directs a user to the advertisers' website. When paid on a CPM basis, you'll be paid for impressions of the opening image, rather than plays of the video.

Keep in mind that video ads will compete alongside text and image ads to show on your pages. We'll only display a video ad on your page when it represents the maximum potential revenue for you.
Using video ads just may be something that you can try to add to your blog or website and see how well it can work for you .You can always play around with placement of your ads as well as the colors. I do recommend using the blend or match when adding the colors for your adsense ads as that makes them like part of the page and not ads sticking out there like a sore thumb.
